Why a flat blade can't do this
A conventional blade cuts standing grass and rides over anything the deck pushes flat. The Kavli design cuts in two planes.
The mower folds the growth flat
The body of the ride-on pushes tall growth over ahead of the deck – the point where an OEM blade gives up.
The 90-degree edge cuts it lying down
The vertical edge cuts the folded growth. Suction keeps material feeding into the cut instead of matting under the deck.
The horizontal edge trims to length
The same pass leaves the finished cut and a fine mulch. No second pass, no carpet effect.
